Sometimes referred to as a ‘lunch time peel’
or skin resurfacing, microdermabrasion helps your skin to improve by removing the dull, dead cell buildup on the skin surface
with sterile crystals, which helps to promote regeneration of healthy new skin.
On most skin types, the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, a dull and dry skin tone, and uneven pigmentation (caused
by sun damage) are reduced. In addition, it aids in reducing the appearance of
enlarged pores, oily skin, clogged pores, blackheads and whiteheads. While a
single treatment provides a very effective exfoliation treatment, the best results are seen with a series of microdermabrasion
treatments, usually 4-6 scheduled 10-14 days apart, followed by maintenance treatments usually every 1 or 2 months. During the initial consultation, we can
also determine if the series of treatments should be combined with a customized facial mask or varied with other exfoliation
or resurfacing treatments.
